Blue Water Highway w/Canvas People

By blending genres into a tasty milkshake of blues, soul, southern-spiced rock, Blue Water Highway ignites stages and Spotify lists in equal measure. The new record "Heartbreak City" is an eclectic collection of guitar-shredding road trip jams and mournful slow burners. "North of LA" is the latter, telling the story of uncertain travels, loves lost, and lessons learned, while "Groovin'" screams forward in a blaze of adrenaline-fueled rock and rhythm. An exciting way to start your weekend. Also playing: local indie darlings Canvas People.

Heavenly dream pop played with wandering precision, Night Glitter is a fascinating and enchanting act. Lead vocalist Loulou Ghelichkhani's satin-dressed French vocals lend an otherworldly vibe to songs like "Le Passage," while "Tunnels" channels '70s psych in a haze of Korg synth and smokey groove. Impossible to ignore once the hooks sink in, Night Glitter's sound will transport you to another sonic world.

KOOP's 24th Birthday Bash w/The Wagoneers, Peterson Brothers, Monte Warden & the Dangerous Few

One of Austin's original rock-a-country bands, The Wagoneers' latest revival is something to celebrate. Although the group only released two albums in the late '80s before the members went separate ways, tunes like "Sit A Little Closer" and "Stout and High" defined the Americana genre.
Luckily for fans, the band reformed in 2011, produced a long-awaited followup record, and is now playing small gigs around town. Make it a priority to see this award-winning act in person. Also playing: Peterson Brothers and a pre-show performance from The Wagoneers' front man Monte Warden's newest project, The Dangerous Few (VIP tickets only). Show to celebrate KOOP radio station's 24th birthday.
